1) You're both wearing the "I'll Shoot You" camera tee, what/who are your inspirations for photography?
Iris: My inspiration is more what than who - nature, life, our habitat and my daughter. I guess, contrary to my previous statement, my inspiration is a who rather than a what.
Dennis: I've always loved art, whether it's music, painting or cooking. Photography makes me look at things in a different way; I could spend hours looking at pictures and not get tired of it. Especially when they are Iris' photos (lol), black & white photos... etc. That famous picture of Mt.Pinatubo was taken by my dad... I guess it's in the blood.
2) What do you love most about where you are from and where you live now?
Iris: I’m originally from the Philippines and what I love most is the culture and traditions that are practiced, especially at Christmas time! For me, nothing beats spending the holidays there. On the other hand, since making BC my new home in 1995, I’ve grown to love the diversity and laid back lifestyle that BC is known for. Now that I have a family, the fact that Canada is so family oriented really works in my favour!
Dennis: What I love most about the Philippines is the people. I still remember how my cousins and I would spend hours just playing outside, rain or shine, and even hide and seek until it's dark - the things we did before the internet, lol. Honestly there's way too much to list...from food to Christmas traditions to the malls. What I love about Canada is how much opportunity we have here for a better future especially with education. I was young when I left Manila so I didn't really realize the importance of having a good education.

3) You are recently engaged, congratulations! What is your favourite part about wedding planning?
Iris: Thank you! I love being able to spend quality time with my fiancé and share our ideas about how we want our wedding to be. I also love having the final say in everything.
Dennis: My favorite part about wedding planning is staying out of Iris' way, lol. For a woman it's a lot more personal, from the dress to the food...If she's happy then I'm happy...right honey? hello you there?
