Hope for the Dalits

Back in May, I was asked by Tessa Tham if I would be interested in creating designs for a benefit concert her church was holding in August. It was to build schools and raise awareness for the Untouchables of India, the Dalits. Before that day, i’d never even heard of the Dalits but my heart broke learning about how these people aren’t even acknowledged in their own country. They don’t have access to many things that we may take for granted like something as simple as going to the park, basic medical services, and education.

They are considered the lowest of the low, outcasts, nobodies.

The two shirts Herro Hachi designed specifically for this cause:

Thank you for letting us take part in your cause!

I hope that by designing these shirts, we have been able to make a difference in at least one Dalit’s life.

At the benefit concert with Frank Hwang aka ice1cube and Kevin Lien!
